Chopped Off Fingers Pizza



  • 1 Red bell pepper [capsicum]
  • 12 Sticks mozzarella
  • 8 Small (about 13 cm /5" diam.) baked pizza crusts
  • 1 cup Pizza sauce

  1. Core, stem and seed pepper.
    1. Cut lengthwise into 2.5 cm/1"-wide strips. 
    2. Cut each strip crosswise into .25 cm or 1/2" pieces (fingernails).
    3.  Round corners on one end of each piece.
  2. Cut each cheese stick in half crosswise. 
    1. On rounded end of each stick (finger).
    2. Cut out a 1.2/3cm or 1/2"-square notch into which a pepper piece will fit to make a nail.
  3. Lay crusts slightly apart on 3 baking sheets, each 12"x15".
    1.  Spread pizza sauce evenly over each crust. 
    2. Lay 3 cheese fingers well apart on each crust: fit a red pepper nail onto each.
  4.  Bake in a 230 deg Cel [450F/ mark 8] oven until cheese just begins to melt, about 8 min.

Yield: 8 personal pizzas
